CAMERON'S JOURNEY

Weight Lost: Ongoing

Occupation: Deputy Principal

Client Comments:

I started working with Guy in 2018, after having gastric sleeve surgery in 2017. I had been overweight my whole life, had always played sport and been active, but always wanted to be fit and exercise more. I had been losing weight, and doing cardio but wanted to minimise my excess skin, avoid hernia and work on some aesthetics. Guy met me where I was at.

He had a lot to teach me and was supportive and well-paced, making sure he was building my capacity as I went.

He taught me to be independent, with key coaching points explained and all questions answered. He taught me how to safely do complex lifts, and what to focus on when was working out on my own.

I gained confidence in the gym, my whole posture and demeanour in the gym changed, and flowed into my life. From this point, over the last two years, Guy has supported me in whatever crazy goals I have wanted to achieve.

After losing my weight, he supported me with healthy nutrition and exercise to bulk up but more importantly emotionally to deal with putting on the weight after a lifetime of trying to lose weight. I even got shoulders!

He supported me through some big health concerns, supporting my heart health and working with the parameters set by my doctors.

He can even be the voice of reason around working through injury and managing load. Then he has helped me trim down again to show me that I can control my weight, and it doesn’t control me.

He has supported my training for a half marathon in 2020, and he doesn’t know it yet, but he is about to support me to an Olympic distance triathlon. No matter the goal, or the issue being confronted, Guy researches and works with you to help you achieve goals.

He has helped me win in my fitness and health goals. What’s most apparent though, is that he takes an interest in you as a person, and becomes far more than a trainer.
